Block website when wan failsover

Hi, I am using a Netgear 4G LTE Modem as a secondary wan device, but want to block netflix when the WAN failsover... You guys know a script that does this? New to using Asus Merlin.... but figured it was possible.

The netgear can be pinged with 192.168.5.1, even when it is in bridge mode, so maybe that will help.

Naitive IPV6 And VPN.

Hi.

I've manage to set my VPN up with my from my seedbox provider on my router no issues.

However, because my Isp supports naitive IPV6 the VPN doesn't work only when I disable ipv6 and just ipv4 it works for all clients, I know can select different policy rules, so only certain devices can access it too, is there any custom option in the VPN options to add to the custom config to retain ipv6 but ignore it when I fire my VPN up so it just uses ipv4 instead?

Good morning.

I've recently acquired an Asus RT-AC86u to replace a failing/outdated D-Link router. I've successfully installed the most recent Asuswrt-Merlin build (382.1_2) and have been running strong for about 24hrs without issue.

Today; I've begun the process of attempting to get either (or both) NetData and YAMon3 installed.

I've followed the Entware-NG guide for installation and did not experience any issues. My pre-formatted EXT2 USB drive (2GB) is installed into the router....

AMTM app(s) seem to cause DNS resolving issue [VPN split tunneling setup]

Recently I replaced my n66u for an ac86u. I moved the config quite exactly, including the split tunneling OpenVPN config, where my Synology NAS bypasses the permanent OpenVPN tunnel directly to the WAN (so I can have hasselfree remote access to its apps/webservices).

This worked so far so good before and after the migration, until I installed Diversion/PixelServ/Skynet. After this, the synology couldn't resolve URL's anymore. Inbound connection is ok, I can access the webservices...

I don't know if this is even possible or if its beyond the scope of what Asus routers / Merlin firmware is capable of but here we go.

I currently have an ESXi server that is running virtualised pfSense as my router and firewall. I am currently using my ASUS RT-AC3200 as an access point to provide internet to all the wireless devices in my network.

What I want to do is create 5 wireless networks each with its own subnet and IP's that a device can connect to based on what it is. Each SSID...

Time Scheduling still broken

Hi,

I own an Asus RT88U for a year.
Time scheduling feature does'nt work well, sometimes yes (often after a reboot)...sometimes no (feature becomes stuck quickly).
I did a firmware upgrade to Merlin 384.7 but same issue with this feature.

I tried several things like disable NAT acceleration....
On the Asus web console, parental controls are correctly set (like time scheduling for 5 devices).
Today on my Asus router smartphone app, time scheduling for these devices is empty (so not the same...

I need to setup few vlan on my ac3100
I have done in the past perfectly on a netgear wndr4000 with dd-wrt , just I like the asus web gui interface which give more detail

So I'm looking to configure 5 vlan (excluding the vlan2 which is used for the wan connection)
1: is my personnal network
3: parent network
4: guest network
5: retro network (i want to use the wifi and the lan for some oldschool device )
6: kid
each have is own ip range

Port 1 and 2 -> vlan 1

Good day,

First of all I want to say that i'm having the exact same issues with Asus 3.0.0.4.384.32799 firmware. ( did the test by reflashing it and restoring to factory default to test) so I don't know if that can be resolved or not within merlin firmware or not.

So basically, I have an VOIP ATA connected on the LAN side registered with voip.ms sip provider.
The issue is that when CTF (nat acceleration) is enabled, I can make and receive phone call but the remote phones can't hear me (but...

What Sprint capable USB Modem to use with RT-AC68U

Looking to hook up a Sprint LTE SIM to the RT-AC68U and have it as primary connection, being in the boonies. What device would you recommend? Want it to work when configured as the primary connection, the ASUS compatibility list shows nothing that seems to work with Sprint, though, maybe I have only found an old link.

Just looking for a device that would allow me to use the Sprint LTE sim that I have and that would even support band 41.

I'm preparing to do a completely clean install of 384.7 final. I disconnected my USB drives after unmounting them through the UI and choose to 'Format/jffs at next reboot' through the UI as well before installing 384.7. I made sure I applied the setting to format /jffs at next reboot. Before rebooting this is the output of du and df:

Having been using merlin on a RT-AC68U for a while now but I needed some IPSec capabilities so I bought a new (Origin China?) RT-AC86U and installed 384.6 on it c/w reset.

I need to be able to ssh to the router from the internet which I could do on the 68U and I set up the 86U the same to permit LAN+WAN but it keeps reverting back to LAN Only. There is a brief window where it sticks and I can ssh in but it still reverts and I can no longer open new ssh connections.

Is this a known issue?...

RT-AC86U Rebooting over and over

Hi, Brand new RT-AC86U to upgrade from RT-AC66U. I put the most recent Merlin firmware on it (not Beta).
I connect directly to the ONT (no Centurylink modem) over their VLAN 201. Not sure if that is relevant but since I set this up to mirror my previous AC66U i find that every few minutes it is rebooting. I also see those "buggy" messages in the log. Is this constant rebooting something that anyone has seen and if so, do you know why it might be happening? I have had to revert back to my...
