not sure why but devices are loosing connection and can't get it back

Since 380.69.2 things like wired roku and wireless amazon firestick are being dropped from the network and after being dropped can not find the network except by a hard reset.
Today on 384.3 beta 1...yes I have not upgraded yet, my windows media center was dropped and when disconnecting the network adapter and enabling it did find the network and reconnect.
What is causing all this disconnecting? The lease time is default.
I have tried assigning ip around dhcp and assigning static ip but it...

RT-AC1900P reboots when accessing any QOS settings

OK.

Not only is this a first post, but it is post by a person that is massively frustrated, so I hope you guys can help me.

About 99% of the time, when I log into the GUI of the router (using https) and go to the adaptive QOS page to even look at it, the router reboots. Does not seem to matter which web browser or computer I am using. Even opening the android app (speed is on first page) causes the router to reboot.

This even happens when the internet is unplugged and it is just the...

Bouncing radios

RT-AC88U with firmware 382.1.2.

The radios are constantly bouncing, CPU on core 1 and core 2 alternately go to 100%. I do not see the SSID on my iPhone, iPad, etc.

It was working fine, but I decided to try Enable Smart Connect. It was a mistake to mess with it...

After that, no wireless connectivity.

I noticed then when you enable smart connect, it sets both radios to the same network name. It choose the network name I was using for 5gHz... I decided to set things back the way they were...

Port Forwarding rule not working

I am trying for a simple port forward of port 80 to a internal Ubuntu Apache server (198.168.2.250, tested http from internal, and fine), but it just does not work from outside of the Asus-Merlin router. I get a "Site Unreachable" message. I know that my external IP is correct that I am testing against (http://external-ip).

HTTP | | 80 | 192.168.2.250 | 80 | Both |

I've updated to the current firmware...

firewall-start question for rt-ac1900p/ac-68u

I just switched from Cable to Fiber and the below firewall rule stopped working:
iptables -I FORWARD -p ALL -i br0 -o eth0 -m iprange --src-range 192.168.2.5-192.168.2.109 -j DROP

I am in 380.68_4.....I am guessing interface is wrong now.....but I have tried ppp0 and that did not work either....So I am confused. Thank you in advanced....

380.69_2 on AC5300 locked up

I installed this newest firmware less than a week ago and last night my internet stopped on all devices, and I also could not log into the router itself. Had to power it off and on. Its all working now, but I had to reset all of my logging which was being saved to an external drive. I guess it got corrupted and it would not connect to it.

I had been previously running the second latest firmware for weeks, if not months, with no issues.

I've been using a script posted here a long ago that sends emails when router reconnects to internet and writes it's current ip in the letter.
Today i connected second internet line as secondary WAN and made all the settings. I was sure that the script will send me different ips - so i will be able to see which line is used (primary or secondary, because primary is unlimited and secondary is $ per MB and i use it only wher primary is down). I run squid so I can browse the Internet when I ssh into my router. I have used the same config for a long time and I am not sure if it is optimal. Does anyone have some pointers for me to optimize? My sd card is 64GB

So to solve all the problems with installing dnscrypt with entware (or similar) then setting up various scripts to handle dnscrypt-proxy starting up including the ntp issue, I made my own installer for dnscrypt-proxy.

Requirements:
- ARM or MIPSEL based ASUS routers
- asuswrt-merlin firmwares or compatible
- jffs support and script enabled

Incompatibilities:
- No known issue

Asus RT-N66U Wifi Issues-WIFI is Dead

All of sudden my Asus router both wifi stopped working. On router I am not able to see any lights for both wifi. Even these lights are not coming up after doing Reset couple of times using different method recommended.
Router is having latest Merlin firmware.
Can someone guide how to resolve this issue?

VPN Client no longer shows service state / can't update

Hardware: ASUS RT-AC68U running 380.69_2

Problem: Running VPN on router, but 1) no longer indicating service state, 2) no longer able to update Ovpn files, and 3) sidebar is missing as shown below. The client appears to still be running as the VPN provider is still indicating that I'm protected. OpenVPN Client / Notification when loosing public IP

Hello

I have the problem, that a OpenVPN client on my RT-AC86U (Merlin 382.1_2) looses the public IP from time to time.

It would be a very good feature, to receive an email if this happens. Is there a possibility to set this up? Script?

My 87U is updated with the most current stable version of Merlin... so unsure as to when this 'bug' was introduced or if this indeed would be considered a bug. Just thought it would be worthwhile pointing it out in case someone else runs into it.

If any dashes or periods exist in the Description field under the Basic Settings section, an attempt to modify any setting in an openVPN client gets denied by a dialog box that reads:
Only letters, spaces, numbers, dashes and underscores are...
