RT_AC68U error on beta 384.3

i have this error repeating since installing 384.3 this morning:

kernel: ERR[update_qos_data_by_mac:3568] Failed to find udb entry by skb src-MAC

anyone have any idea what this means?

BT TV (Multicast IPTV) problems with Adaptive QoS

I'm UK based and have my Internet and TV service from BT. The TV service offers a number of channels broadcast over the internet as (so I believe) multicast streams.

I've noticed for a long time that when I have Adaptive QoS enabled, the IPTV stream is registered by the Upload Bandwidth Monitor and this causes issues that QoS throttles this stream when I quickly run out of upstream bandwidth (I have around 13mbps and an HD stream is around 8mbps). OpenVPN Client / Notification when loosing public IP

Hello

I have the problem, that a OpenVPN client on my RT-AC86U (Merlin 382.1_2) looses the public IP from time to time.

It would be a very good feature, to receive an email if this happens. Is there a possibility to set this up? Script?

But when I realized the router does not have a static arp table, I searched the Internet and found information about Merlin. 380.69_2 on AC5300 locked up

I installed this newest firmware less than a week ago and last night my internet stopped on all devices, and I also could not log into the router itself. Had to power it off and on. Its all working now, but I had to reset all of my logging which was being saved to an external drive. I guess it got corrupted and it would not connect to it.

I had been previously running the second latest firmware for weeks, if not months, with no issues.

MAC Address as client name

Hi There,

I'm running 382.1 on an ASUS 86u, and all my clients show up as MAC address and not computer name.

Its only in the web console tho, when I use the ASUS app on the ipad the clients show up fine.

Is there a setting ive missed?

I use http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest to test for buffer bloat etc. Not sure if I'm missing something obvious here but maybe an expert can tell me if its a bug or working as intended. If this is a bug I've no idea if it was just recently introduced or not.

I haven't tested in a while but as there was a new firmware version available I thought I would upgrade and test.
I generally use Adaptive QoS but from limited testing this seems to affect Traditional as well.

I have an AC-86U and an OpenVPN client config (client 3) with 20+ tunnel routes. Now I want to create a second client config (client 5) that uses the same set of routes.

I really don't want to type all of those routes into the GUI a second time, so I thought I'd be clever and do it on the command line. After some poking around, I came up with the following:

However, when I try to upgrade to 380.69_2 I get a following error

i want to install dyndns service for kodi on a windows pc. i have asuswrt merlin, but dont understand how to make a dyn dns adress for this windows pc with kodi installation
i have made a registration at http://www.dyndnss.net but they need a setup at the router. i dont understand the system how it works

i need a setup on both? on dyndnss.net and on my router ???

Hi

It seems that the DHCP doesn't assign an IP address which I have set to assign manually to a device, Any reasons why it shouldn't do that? I have set it to 192.168.1.21 but it seems to get 192.168.1.128 (AC88U, 382.2)

I recently upgrade from the RT-N66U to the RT-AC5300 and the 5GHz speed was a night and day improvement. I had installed Merlin 380.68_4 right away. However, I noticed that the 5GHz-2 band seems to gradually slow down over the course of a week until my iPhone 6 shows that there's no internet connection. The SSID doesn't even show up in the list to select. Once I reboot the radio (by rebooting the router or changing the wireless mode for example), everything works great again it dies at...

Can't seem to attach 3 routers in WDS setup

Just for fun, I decided to dust off my old Linksys WRT54G routers and see if I could get WDS working with all three (the main being an RT-AC68U). The two Linksys routers are using v132 of shibby tomato. The ASUS router is using 384.3-Beta1.

After configuring one Linksys successfully with the ASUS, I thought it would be easy to setup the second. So I mirrored the settings and changed the 2.4GHz MAC on the second Linksys to one higher (from :2A to :2B). When the second Linksys MAC was added...

Network Map screen messed up

I started to get this error when I upgraded to 380.69, and it's still present on 380.69_2, on my AC66U-B1

Some graphic elements are spanning a really huge screen space and messing everything up:

You can scroll right for a VERY long time with varying degrees of appearances of this element, until the canvas decides to die.

Can this be fixed? I think it's freaking out the browser and maybe the router (I just found that 1 CPU was rammed to 100%)

Hello,

I see that recently AC5300 has been officially migrated to 384. I haven't seen an alpha pre-release build version for it on that thread. I tried to search the forum but found nothing (probably due to incompetence rather than absence of information). Do we know if there are plans for a new version of Merlin for that model?
