RT-AC88U_382.1_2 DDNS not working

Hey guys,
Noob here at networking. I have a few questions regarding the above firmware and router.

Before the above firmware, I was on 380.ish and noip ddns was working as it should. I could access webgui from outside my network. After upgrading to 382.1_2, I can no longer access it from any machine outside my network, no matter which browser I use. I also upgraded to Win 10Pro at same time in case that matters. I'm pretty sure my settings are exactly the same on the router.

Swap File Mount/Unmount

Hi!

So, I created a 256MB swap file on my usb2.0 flash drive (usb1 label) with the following sentences:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/mnt/usb1/swapfile.swp bs=1k count=262144
mkswap /tmp/mnt/usb1/swapfile.swp
swapon /tmp/mnt/usb1/swapfile.swp
Then, I added this command to "post-mount" script in order to enable it at every reboot:

Swap file is active and running fine.

My concern: is it neccesary to disable swap before every reboot via...

Error upgrading RT-AC68U from 380.69 to 380.69_2

Hi!

I'm currently running 380.69 on my RT-AC68U.

However, when I try to upgrade to 380.69_2 I get a following error

Hello Everyone,

Blacklisting via Network Services Filter isn't working

I'm running Merlin 382.1_2 on my AC88U and I am unable to get blacklisting to work with the Network Services Filter. I was originally trying to blacklist a NTP server so I added the ip address and set the protocol to UDP, but that didn't work. I then tried other ip addresses and TCP and was able to access them.

I checked iptables and I can see that entries are being added to the CHAIN NSFW with a rule of RETURN. Is that what it should be? I ask because from my understanding RETURN just...

Am I right in understanding port 0 is the WAN port, and 8 is the CPU?

1-4 I'm assuming are the LAN ports on the switch, but what is port 5 - the 5GHz chip?

Apologies for posting this if it has been asked already and apologies if I don't use the correct terminology.

I want to connect each of the below devices through different servers. Assume it will be the only devices that will be used on this router (Asus RT-n66u on Merlin 380.67):
Devices - iPhone, Android phone, Smart TV, NAS, Work Laptop

Client 1 - VPN on New Zealand Server for iPhone

Client 2 - VPN on Australian Server for Android phone

Client 3 - VPN on US server for Smart TV...

USB3 hdd on ac86u with Merlin FW

I have an ac86u and I have a usb3 dock hard disk connected (disabled the interference option).
It works correctly on Asus official firmware and I can indeed see speeds up to around 90 MB/s.

I am accessing the shared hdd from Windows 10 x64 Pro machines either wired or wireless.

I have updated the router with Merlin's firmware 382.1.2 stable (as well as the latest alpha 384).
With Merlins FW when I access the shared folders and try to copy or just create I receive the following error:...

ASUS AC-3200 - No way to delete "old" disconnected clients?

Running Merlin 380.68_4

As I was setting up some manual addresses for devices in my home, I noticed link under the MAC address pulldown box that says "show offline client list"

There, I could see a long list of really old clients devices that connected to the router before. Hovering on the "X" next to it, it shows "Remove this Client". But when I actually click on it doesn't actually remove the client at all. Is there any way to flush the old connected clients out of my router's...

I have an AC68U running 380.69_2, and am in the process of setting it to replace an older router. As such, I have to change the router's IP address from time to time to setup, and then test it on the existing network. Lately (I feel like since updating from 380.69_0 firmware a few days ago) when I change the LAN IP via the web GUI, it does not reliably change the IP address. Last time, it took 3 attempts to get it to "take". Currently, I can't get it to take a new IP address at all....

Trying to get the Trend Micro signature file to update on this router and having no luck. I suspect the Asus hosted update files are missing but would love some independent confirmation. I wasn't sure whether to post here or in the AC router section but I'm running Merlin 380.69_2 so I guess I'll start here.

When I go to Administration -> Firmware Update and hit the Check button next to the Signature Version (I'm currently on 1.110) it shows Signature Checking... and a spinning circle for...

Entware-3x is new version of Entware optimized for 3.x and 4.x linux kernels. It is based on Entware-ng but can be used only on firmwares with 3.x and 4.x linux kernels. Entware-3x has more packages compared to Entware-ng because some packages cannot be compiled for old kernels, some Entware-3x packages have higher versions for the same reason. Hi, just wanted to let you know that manual assignment in DHCP doesn't work and the "enable manual assignment" button has no effect. Turning it to no does not stop manual assignment. Also, I constantly get disconnected from my DLNA media server with this router for some reason :(

P.S. Thank you for fixing the crashing issue in this latest update. MUCH appreciated!!

Hello,

Today, my router's 5GHz radio quit working. It is only connected to one device which is a Netgear EX7000 extender (with fast-lane enabled). Everything on the extended network quit working altogether. I tried connecting a laptop direct to the router, but accessing the web page indicated that the device was not made by Asus.
