ISP-> VPN Client1->VPNClient2->Internet.
I would like my VPN Client2 never to touch my ISP. Can I add a specific rule in place, that says VPNclient2 will not connect unless VPN Client1 is connected?
So far, I have configured VP1 correctly. I have added Policy Rules on both VPN Clients that say Source IP: 192.168.1.0/24 to VPN

Asus RT-AC88U, Firmware Merlin 380.68_4 (latest)
Repeater TP-Link RE355, Firmware build 20151117 (latest)
Connection between Router/Repeater on 2.4ghz.
Repeater provides 2.4 and 5 ghz
Issue:
Devices (android, iOS) sometimes don't get IP-adress via Repeater, but via router direct (on any wifi band)

FTP server on remote OpenVPN server

Quick question. I have OpenVPN setup on a remote server and my AC68U setup as a client. I also use the Policy Rules to forward all traffic from one of my local PC's 198.168.1.253 to destination 0.0.0.0 through the VPN connection. This works well.
However, I have this problem which if Policy = Strict, I can not connect to the FTP server or the webserver on my remote server (the one which is hosting the VPN server). If I remove the strict option, it works fine. I also have Accept DNS...

First and foremost apologies if this has been discussed before. I tried to search within the forums but couldn't find a thread. My question deals with device icons displayed in the Web UI.

Asus Openvpn Site-to-Site config with Tun can't access client network computers
Hello everyone,
I have made a VPN tunnel between two routers with TAP interface. It worked fine, but with DNS and DHCP servers (two Synology NAS with DCHP and DNS servers on both networks), I decided to change to TUN. The reason was that the DCHP server of the server network was the one that gave the ip addresses in the client's network and redirected me to the server dns of the server's network and I did not like that.

Wifi problems with iPhone X when connected to 5 Ghz band
I’m having issues with my iPhone X when connected to the 5 Ghz band on a ASUS RT-AC3200 (latest RMerlin FW). The wifi disconnects or dropping and this only happens to my iPhone X. I have 5 other iDevices at home without any problems.
I’ve reported this to Apple but just thought if anyone had some tricks to solve it. I have done all troubleshooting on the iPhone but no better results.

what is the rule of thumb for factory resets?
With all the choice we have here between asus-merlin and asus-merlin beta and asus stock what is the rule of thumb as to when its advisable to do a factory reset? I seem to have flipped back and forth a fair amount without much thought on this. I recently did one for no really great reason and a few issues vanished so I thought why not ask?

The card was labeled as microSDHC UHS-I 32GB.
My old cardreader did not accept it,
so I had to ssh into the RT-N66U and fdisk and format it as ext2.
At least I can now ftp to it and see some folders I created.
How can this be put to further use?
I can not get Download Manager to install.

I picked up a Netgear X4S, and plan to make it my primary router and then turn my AC68U into an access point. More neighbors got wifi, and my signal is not working well in my master bedroom for my Fire TV. It is the furthest point in my house with my router in the basement. RT-AC5300 IPv6 Stops Working and IPv6 DNS Setting
Running Merlin 380.68_4 on an RT-Ac5300. Enabling IPv6 works fine for a while. Then after several hours the IPv6 interface on the RT-AC5300 stops working. No response to IPv6 ping and of course no DNS. Have to reboot the router to re-gain IPv6 connectivity.

USB 3.0 Hub for external hard drives connected to ASUS RT-87u
I would like to connect more than 1 USB 3.0 hard drive to my ASUS RT-AC87U router. I use mine for backing up files on my network and would love to be able to connect up 3 different drives at the same time on the USB 3.0 port. I already have one connected to the USB 2.0 port but the transfer speed is very slow.
Has anyone successfully connected a USB 3.0 hub to an ASUS router?

I just unboxed my new Asus 68 and installed the Merlin software.
I works great. I had 5 systems streaming video at the same time from Plex, my hdhomerun tv tuner and ESPN live feeds.
I have had 3 systems up now streaming video for 4 hours.
I NEVER got that kind of performance out of my old router it always skipped frames and just stopped after an hour tops. I had to reboot it almost daily just to get it to half way work.
I was on a link sys 1900 acs and cussed this thing for 2 years.
