AC66U - Can't install Merlin firmware

Hi, I have downloaded Merlin and John's fork and unfortunately when trying to swap to either of these firmware, I get the below message. I want to use OpenVPN and from what I read John's fork has nice optimisations that can increase the bandwidth. Is there anything I can do? Is anyone else encountering the same issue?

While OpenVPN, L2TP/PPTP protocols are being disabled within 30 seconds.
Best case scenario,L2TP it will show enabled / functional but stops providing UDP connections (No WiFi connections to the VPN sever)

Routing between 2 VPN servers

Hellow.

I have RT-AC3200 and 2 OpenVPN servers on it.

Firmware by Merlin 384.6_0 (the last for my router at this time)

1-st VPN server have ip range 10.0.8.0/24
2-nd VPN server have ip range 10.0.16.0/24

Clients, connected to 1-st VPN server have full acces to each other and to RT-AC3200. And clients, connected to 2-nd VPN server have full acces to each other and to RT-AC3200.

The problem is: clients from 1-st VPN server haven't acces to clients of 2-nd VPN server. And 2-nd VPN server...

Adding Entware and Removing Optware

I just upgraded my AC-68U from a very old firmware, so I basically had to reset and rebuild. I had OPTWARE installed although I don't think I used it much. Anyway, I have the USB drive attached that I had OPTWARE installed on. I want to remove OPTWARE and install Entware. I know I can install Entware with the script, but what about OPTWARE? How do I remove it?

All I see is a directory on my USB drive called optware.

EXT4 disk formatting options on the router

Hi. Does anyone know how one can format a USB as ext4 with journaling disabled, from within the router's shell interface? When I've used the disk formatting options it seems to automatically use EXT2. Without getting onto a debate between ext2 vs ext4, does anyone know how ext4 without journaling can be accomplished? I'm doing it remotely so using a linux install on a pc isn't an option unfortunately.

I am setting up a Moto G5+ phone running Android Oreo to use with my RT-AC68U in dual WAN failover mode. Running Merlin 380.69_2. I'm planning on having it as backup for the times I lose my primary cable internet service (not often) or if the exterior cable feeding the house gets cut. I count on internet for all sorts of home automation stuff and remote monitoring.

It seems to work fine if I connect to the router USB 3.0 port and manually enable USB Tethering mode in the phone. But if...

Where to find reason for reboot

I'm testing an RT-86U with Merlin 384.8_2, and noticed today that the uptime is only 1 day 6 hrs. I've had no power outages or spikes in a while, so I'm curious as to where I would look to see what the cause is. It's been at least a week since I have manually rebooted for any reason. If it makes a difference, I do have Skynet and Diversion installed, too.

I know Merlin no long supports the router, and seeing instead of getting new router for the new house I gona take the AC66U from old house when it sold. to replace the IPS one here , So I was thinking can I just reset everthing to factory, flash asus fw and factory reset and manual put every back to way I need and have no problems or is going back asus fw not that simple?

German language file on RT-AC 68U 384.8_2

Hi there,
I bought my RT-AC 68U in china, until now everything worked fine. Today I updated the FW from 384.4 to the recent one (384.8_2). After updating (without restoring the factory setup right now) I don't have the option to choose german language. I only have chinese and enlish.
On 384.4 I did have several option concering language including german.

Anybody an idea about this?

Diversion - wildcard whitelist?

I want to add multiple domains to the whitelist but since I'm not sure of their excat name, I am hoping to use the wildcard feature.
For example, I want to order something online from BestBuy but Diversion is blocking the reserve in store page. Since I don't know the exact URL, I was hoping to add everything from bestbuy.ca so it doesn't screw up my order. That's just one of my scenarios.
In the meantime, I'm going to keep it disabled until I can find a way to do this....

And i dont know if is enabled or disabled by default on my router!

On wireless option there is no smart connection "on/off" selection, and in network tool there is no "smart tool" section, too.
