Hey, I'm sure this has come up, but searching through forums is my definition of the 7th layer of Hell. Is the Merlin custom firmware available for the GT-AC5300. Can i just install the RT version? It should be coming in the mail in the next few days, and I've read the existing firmware has a lot of bugs.. I have used Merlin in the past, and i really like it.. I'm hoping that it will be compatable with my new router.

Routing table is too small in 382.x
Hi,
I have dual wan configuration with load balancing. It screws the internet connection normally, but I use it with routing table. My home setup was
x.x.x.2 - x.x.x.63 addresses were reserved to fixed IP devices
x.x.x.64 - x.x.x.127 to dhcp
Even addresses are routed to wan1 and odd to wan2. I had exactly 128 entries in routing table.
This has been working at least in 380.x, but I noticed today (382.x) that all addresses were routed to wan1. I tried to fix it without success. Dropped...

Unimportant question: wondering if any new USB-port-storage file systems are supported in the newer 382 firmware series. Examples would be XFS or F2FS.

I have a unit of Asus rt-ac87u with AP Mode and would like to setup for LAN wifi and Guest Wifi.
firewall with ( vlan tag 30 for guest ) ---- Switch ---- Asus rt-ac87u ap mode with LAN wifi and Guest wifi
do some have any script to enable this setup?

DNS Configuration question

I have an RT-AC3100 running 382.1_2 with DNS Filtering set to use OpenDNS. I also have a VPN Client configured to use "Exclusive" DNS with select Default routes for some of my devices to go through the VPN. In order to ensure clients going through VPN tunnel use the VPN DNS servers I need to add a "No Filter" entry in the DNSfilter section Otherwise it will use the OpenDNS servers.
Is this normal behavior? Since Exclusive DNS is set on the tunnel, I expected clients going...

A Guide About Installing ZeroTier on ASUS AC68U Router
**Based on Merlin 380.68_4 Firmware, but should be working on any router that supports Entware.**
1. Entware installation.
`$ entware-setup.sh`
2. Then install ZeroTier using Entware:
`$ opkg update`
`$ opkg install zerotier`
3. Start TUN
You might get this error in step 4 `Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory (errno=2)`, then run this at first.
`$ modprobe tun`
4. Start zerotier service
`$ zerotier-one -d`
5. Check service status, should be 200

Print Server Issues
I have already written about usb print server 'death' after some time of printer's inactivity. (Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available)
Re-plugging a printer helps but only for ONE printing. (need to replug every time I need to print).
After a few days even replugging doesn't help. Everytime there is an error that the printer is busy, Print server stucks with the name of connected printer...

Join to Wireless network with CLI

I'm working on an RT-N66U for a while and try to join to a wireless network which has encryption but could not succeed.
If I try to join to an open wifi network it works after the following commands:
At this point I'll get an IP address but it will not be assigned to the interface. So I have to assign it manually with the following command:

I have made a double NAT custom DDNS script for asus router (and possibly others as well) working for DDNS provider NOIP. The issues with double NAT is that our asus router does not report the external IP, only the ip reported for the WAN interface. For that reason it is necessary to perform a lookup on an external site (http://icanhazip.com/ and http://ipv4.myip.dk for backup).

RT-AC5300 Failing to load router admin page
Hello I'm new here and after some advices/help.
Firstly let me apologies if i have posted in the wrong section.
I purchased a RT-AC5300 and set this up on Merlin RT-AC5300_380.68_4 on Saturday. I was able to setup port forwarding, assign DMZ and static ips but then yesterday evening i tried to access the routers admin page but it doesnt seem to look like it's loading properly.
The network seems to be running fine, I can see wireless networks and connect devices to it as well as wired but...

Monitoring Web Usage with Asuswrt-Merlin
One thing I really miss from Tomato that I wish were available in Asuswrt-Merlin is the ability to show recently visited web sites and web searches (Under Status->Web Usage). It was a quick way to keep an eye on what the kids were searching for and the sites they were visiting.
Does such an option in Asuswrt-Merlin exist? I see the Traffic Manager feature which gives statistics about how much data is being sent/received per device, but I can't seem to drill down to find out what sites it...

Repeater TP-Link RE355, Firmware build 20151117 (latest)
Connection between Router/Repeater on 2.4ghz.
Repeater provides 2.4 and 5 ghz
Issue:

AC68U Core 1 or 2 goes 100% after a couple weeks
I have a an AC68U running Merlin 380.63_2, I've already updated a couple times from minor versions before...
Here's a problem I've got. After about 2 weeks runtime, one of the cores, sometimes its Core 1 sometimes Core 2 gets pegged at 100%. I telnet to the router, and run "top" and this is what it shows...
Mem: 73136K used, 182564K free, 0K shrd, 2120K buff, 8276K cached
CPU: 0.0% usr 0.1% sys 0.0% nic 47.3% idle 47.9% io 0.0% irq 4.5% sirq
Load average: 4.03 4.04 4.05 1/85...
