I'm having difficulties when enabling VPN using OpenVPN selected client with the device selected. Manually adding client to use vpn with given static IP. IPv4 loses connectivity for that specified device, yet if I ONLY use the PPTP with my opvn credentials. All works perfectly fine for the entire network. I had an issue I couldn't easily resolve, and decided to just reset and rebuild it from factory. For whatever reason, it no longer saves the CA for a site to site VPN.

I:

Removed the USB and restored factory settings, checking the "Initialize all the settings" box.

Waited a few minutes, then walked through the wizard, creating new SSIDs and users

Went into Administration / System and checked Format JFFS at next reboot, and hit Apply and...

Diversion for only some devices

I would like to experiment with having only some devices on the LAN using diversion adblocker, but for other devices I want them to continue using the regular dnsmasq. I don't see any documentation to consult without installing first. Is it possible to have some devices using diversion and others using dnsmasq?

I tried searching for "diversion device" but didn't find anything.

This thread is about GNUton's Merlin builds for DSL devices.

* A few words about how this project started:
Some days back I bought a DSL-AC68U. I got a used one for 40 euros. As far as I know, this devices is pretty much as an RT-AC68U but it sells cheaper because... maybe... there is no custom firmware for it, so people think they are worse.

Hello all

Wondering if someone can shed some light on what these are and if there is any resolution to these appearing in the log. Its been mentioned on here a couple of times but I can't see a clear answer or resolution as to why this happens.

Besides my AC86U (384.9) consistently dropping/reconnecting 5Ghz clients (regardless of MIMO/Fairness/Beamforming settings) and the annoying WLAN Assoc/Disassoc messages flooding the syslog.

Hi. I know there are other threads on this topic, but there doesn't seem to be a resolution. I thought I would post a little more info, and with guidance, I'm happy to help troubleshoot this very annoying problem.

Anyone had recently problems with CloudFlare DoT?

Today I noticed problems working with Facebook. The browser (Mozilla) hanged on connection to static.xx.fbcdn.net. All other sites seems to be resolved fine. The problem appeared on all devices connected to the router (Windows and Linux PCs and Android phones). Finally I resolved it by switching to Quad9 DoT. Hello,

Sorry in advance for my modest English.

I am having a problem with my Asus RT-AX88U router and the firmware Merlin 384.16.
When my smartphone is connected on the 5 Ghz band, my other smartphone also connected in 5 Ghz becomes slow/latency.

Is there a particular rule/settings to activate/modification to balance the bandwidth in 5 Ghz wifi ?

[Note: edited for clarity since first posting.]

My internet recently went out due to an ISP issue. During this state, I discovered that the devices on my LAN could not connect to each other.

I'm running Merlin 384.15 on an AC68U clone (RT-AC1900P). I have DNSFilter enabled with DoT, pointing at Quad9. It's a pretty vanilla setup except for using YazFi to isolate two separate guest networks, with a little custom section in iptables to allow the guest networks to access a printer.
